Disabling Exchange “cached mode” vs Disabling Offline Folder file

Outlook – You’ve unchecked “Use Cached Exchange Mode”. Subsequently you attempt to open Outlook but receive an error message indicating your offline file is corrupted. Wait – you disabled cached mode and you’re not using the offline ost file so how can this prevent Outlook from starting? Unchecking the “Use Cached Exchange Mode” does not disable your Offline ost file. It merely tells Outlook not to use the file when loading. You can disable your offline folder file by editing your Outlook profile. This will allow you to make the necessary change without first loading Outlook.
